Awards Presented Class Night I: This year, for the first time, the Torch staff sponsored a Class Night. It's purpose was to re- cognize the sophomores and to award outstanding members of the student body. The program, with Mr. Tapp as Master of Ceremonies, included: processional of Soph- omores; a short talk by the sophomore class president - Raymond Maggard; an address by Mr. Henry L. Ott; two songs, Yesterday and Once Upon a Time , sung by Judy Powell; and presentation of awards by Mrs. Branch Carty. The installation of new Student Council members was also an event of Class Night. All I can say is . . . Some people must really rate! l03
