Annual Con erence Challenges Southeastern's Annual Bible and Missionary Conference was highlighted by the ministry of' Dr. Willizrrn Allen Dean and Dr. Milton D. Arnold. Dr. Dean, a well-known Bible Teacher from Philadelphia, challenged the students from II Timothy and Hebrewsg Dr. Arnold, Deputation Secretary for Baptist Mid-Missions, centered his messages on involvement in missions. liarly morning sessions ofthe conference were devoted to panel and workshop discussion groups which were led by missionaries, several of whom were Southeastern graduates. Through the meetings and through personal interviews, the missionaries answered the questions of' interested students. For some students, the conference helped to confirm a personal call to missions. For all, the conference was a stirring reminder that nothing should be higher than total commitment on a Christian's list of' priorities. Freshmen Present: PC ' 9 9 A Time for Us . . . lor you and mef, -- And more, as another freshman class pooled their ideas and their time into the making of' a successful evening. Suspended on a balcony, we spent this time under starry skies and amid scenic gardens. As we ate, it was a time for satisfaction, relaxation, conversation. During the presentation by Lou Fowler, Ron Prince, Alicia Curtis, and Stan Dean, it was a time for talent, laughter, applause. Wlmile Barbara Friend sang a medley of love songs, it was a time for - listening, feeling, appreciating. The Romeo and Juliet contest was a time for -jim Anderson and Evelyn Dunn, and roses. Pete McKensie was our speaker. This was a time for - relating, challenging, evaluating. A Time For Us, someday there'll be . . . sang Mr. and Mrs. Iiggert.
