Countless times they have prepared something extra for parties or fixed leaks and squealts in the dorms. Their willingness to help has made a lasting impression on many lives. Yet their contributions extend even further than that, They have been faithful in their prayers Hur the studentsg and their love for the Lord and dedication to their work is often unacknowledged. Their ministry is an expansive oneg it is one that includes the college family, the business contacts they have, and former students now spread throughout the world. Their faithfulness has also been evident in their home life. All four of their children have been graduated from SBC and have been actively involved in Christian service over the years. And their faithfulness has brought them many more children in the college family. To you, Pop and Mom Sutton, we dedicate this 1971 Gateway. v n ws-wr-1.w.:n-W. -ww 1 N -1 '.w,u.-.-Q,,-Ar,rvnn-wr 1. -.:U.'.4.H,.f!nf-M.: , wwzmm-:-w 2wmw.mw.,.'fwanusnnnv:r:x.v. ww.-.wzm-,.w.1nw.,.n...-N.,.m-mmnaw4w.f.:fvumw,,-:W nw :mu-:yn wa 's Q WM' f F xl , , If Y ' yl V 1 L 'WV .ra 1' web, V1 X-if vr f'v VA M., i .,. n xfdr .MH N This year's Chorale was under the direction ofour music department's new chairman, Mr. Keith Iiggert. This is to be accomplished through a basic core of Bible content and Doctrine courses, supplemented with other disciplines such as the liberal arts and sciences. And this, not for the purpose of merely an educated graduate, but the production ofa trained servant Rvr the I,ord's service. lt is recognized that one ofthe best methods known today to train a given individual is through the process ofon-the-job training. The education of the student at this college is not merely the acquiring of intellectual skill, but also the experience ofapplication of this knowledge in the world in which he will be ministering when he graduates. justification for such a program can be readily seen in the life ofthe Lord Jesus Christ. l-le trained his disciples, not merely by isolated preaching and teaching, but also by on-the-job training. hristian Service Provides 5? -i iii' David Moore - Christian Service Director alfa Sara Martin, Art Boldt, and Susie Mitchell packing tracts at the Cornerstone Tract Society.
