Lewis Johnson, of Dallas Theological Seminary, brought the dedication address. The occasion was also in recog- nition of the thirty-first anniversary of Southeastern. W 75

However, graduation is merely the end ot a short walk through one of many paths which God has chosen for His servants. More horizons wait to be unveiled as Southeastern graduates serve the l.ord Jesus Christ in all parts ofthe world, in nearly every branch of Christian service. Rev. C. Sumner Wemp, Director ot the Practical Work Department ot Moody Bible Institute, delivered the bacca- laureate sermon on Sunday, May 29, 1966. This service was held in the First Conservative Baptist Church. Southeastern's new chapel was the scene ot the Commencement service as Dr. Clarence E. Mason, Jr., Dean ot Philadelphia College of the Bible, addressed the senior class. Patricia McDonald was awarded The Director of Christian Education Departmental Award, and Joseph Cook, the Teacher of Christian Day School Departmental Award. These awards are given to students who exhibit outstanding potential in their various courses ot study. Four students graduated with honor. They were: Joseph Cook, Evelyn Dunn, Marian Heistand, and James Lee. Priscilla Hedger Cox was graduated with high honor, and was also granted membership in the National Honor Society of A.A.B.C., Delta Epsilon Chi. 77
