Foreword Your T R E K into LANCER-LAND is just beginning! A yearbook is many things to many people. To the student the book is a record of actions and a ready-made scrapbook of souvenirs. Alumni, Board of Education, and faculty see the publication as an annual progress report. The aim of this year's LANCER has been to record for you, to the best of our ability, a cross-section of all the personalities represented in our school this yearg the activities we enjoyed togetherg and a little current history which will no doubt have a big effect on our lives in the years to come. What will this old world of ours be like in--say, thirty-seven years? That will be the year 2000--we hope those of you who happen to pick up this LANCER in the year 2000 will be interested in what we have recorded here. l l
