RAIN makes trees, plants, flowers grow and . . . Disgust grows in a mesh of soggy leaves, wet tennis shoes, and mushy jeans. Wringing out homework and uncrinkling textbook pages isn't exactly the favorite between-class chore. Not to mention the exasperation a maid feels while watching incoming dormies spread a new layer of slime over the fresh-mopped floor. But matted eyelashes and stringy hair are a small price to pay for the benefits of precipitation, such as, the excitement of squeezing two heads under one umbrella and canta1oping up Cardiac Hill, or initiating freshmen by staging a vigorous mud-fight in the down pour. Food, Glorious Foodlu A hopeful chant muttered three times a day by students who find nibbling on disposal or dishwater rejected I.D.'s doesn't stifle the growls. Especially as the dinner hour nears, curiosity mounts! What will be ground beefls disguise tonight? Is this the night for red-checkered cloths and candles on the tables? Or will the table legs really be amputated for Oriental atmosphere? . 7 Can ice cubes just once keep their cool? Will the lettuce boycott anyone? Will the shrimp fight back? Will the sugar be salted or the salt peppered? Will Popeyels fans, alias the Ski-Team diet advocates, be at it again with the spinach, grapefruit and eggs?
