September l950 SE s doors opened and we streamed through the hoifls eager fvrnew excntung adventure We found our new school very strange for awhnle but uncertaunty soon began to fade as we were caught un a whirl of new frlends and actlvltles A wonderful year unfolded before us followed by fnve more years each of whrch seemed to be a chapter of happuness Beef as wel SO Q1 Tw X SWQQQS qlax QQTK Oblaluq M Although we pornt with prnde to the tremendous strides we've made, we shall always enjoy remunuscung about our pnoneer days What fun It was roughnng ut those first weeks before the cafetena and gym were fnnnshed' We ate ln classrooms and held assemblnes outslde The dust and mud and sawdust were so bad that our mothers shuddered at the snght of our dirty clothes when we came home from school The women teachers wore slacks durmg enrollment week and helped move desks To the fnrst All Southeast class and to the sux year admunustratuon and faculty who have been responslble for the wonderful fnendshups we've formed, our excellent trannunq and qood tlmes, we deducate this book We wall be forever qrateful to our leaders for the tume and understanding they have so gracuously bestowed upon us We hope that we can always remaun true to the Spartan :deals andthe Spartan spnrrt. -5.
