Addis coordinates school activities 'T32 ABOVE and BELOW Dr. Addis supervises the Citizens Advisory Board, which replaced the P. T.A. at Southeast three years ago. Creating an atmosphere in which teachers and students could work, supervising and coordinating activities of faculty and other school personnel, and in general being a leader in curriculum” was the main job of Dr. Fred G. Addis, principal. Dr. Addis, who has been the principal at Southeast since it opened, feels that the twelve years he has been here the problems of students haven’t varied much. However, he be- lieves that students today are more involved and on a whole display more wisdom. “To assume responsibility for his own acts. and to become a responsible citizen in society are two things Dr. Addis feels are important for a high school student to have learned upon graduation. Dr. Addis has received his B.A. and M.A. degrees from Wichita State University and his doctorate from the University of Colorado in Boulder. Raising dogs for show is one of his main interests, as he owns four poodles and six Yorkshire terriers, one of which is a champion. ll

co-administrators help lead school Mr. Keith Graham and Mr. Leon Cannady shared administrative duties as co-assistant principals this year. Mr. Graham has been an administrator at Southeast for two years and assumed the duties of Mr. O. J. Budd. now- principal at Curtis Junior High. Mr. Graham stated that he is responsible for “all duties delegated by the principal.” Other responsibilities included working with student enrollment, handling discipline problems, and helping to organize bus transportation. Mr. Graham received his B.S. and M.S. degrees at Pittsburg State College and at Colorado State College, respectively. Mr. Cannady was a new member to Southeast's administration this year, as he had previously been the assistant principal at Roosevelt Junior High. Scheduling school activities and making up the activities calendar was Mr. Cannady’s main job. He was also involved in the planning for assemblies, handling discipline problems, enforcing school policies, and reading the morning bulletin daily. Mr. Cannady received his B.A. and M.A. degrees from Colorado State College. ABOVE Mr. Leon Cannady. BELOW Mr. Keith Graham. 12
