No written exam- inations were given. Until the completion of construction of new foreign language laboratories and classrooms, half of the cur- riculum of the department took place in the Curtis Junior High School building. All German and Spanish classes were conducted in Curtis, but after construc- tion has terminated, the classes will be taught in the new wing. Latin and French courses were taught in the Southeast building in F. C. and B halls. Each year the National Foreign Language League has sponsored a study trip to Europe.
