Students and Faculty Aided By Office Staff Assorted secretarial and supervisional duties occu- pied eight office staff members. Mr. Budd’s assistant. Mrs. Clifton, and Mrs. Rogers handled new enrollments and IBM cards, while Mrs. Ridgway calculated grade averages. Controlling absences and tardies. Mrs. Herd worked in the Attendance office. As student coordinator. Mr. Dave Leach was in charge of unexcused absences and the parking lot sit- uation. Typing and working at the counter occupied Mrs. M Marsarci Walters Schreffler each day. Mrs. Reiser. Dr. Addis’ correspondent, and Miss Wilke prepared theschool payroll and budget.and also took care of the funds of the various clubs. Administrators Pattern Scheduling, Activities Mr. 0. J. Budd. as the vice-principal of Southeast, very capably managed most procedures taking place in the office. Planning the enrollment for the next school year and assisting students with their schedule problems were Mr. Budd's primary tasks. He also shared discipli- nary duties with Mr. Graham, organized the bus routes, and collaborated with the security officers in policing the campus. During his first year at Southeast. Mr. Keith Gra- ham. assistant principal, was exposed to the cycle of a large high school, having formerly been assistant prin- cipal of Truesdale Junior High School. Mr. Graham concurred with Mr. Budd in matters of discipline, scheduled daily events, and supervised club activities. Mr. Keith Graham, Southeast's new assistant principal, offers advice to all clubs concerning their funds and activities. As office manager. Mr. O.J. Budd. vice-principal, lakes care of the next year s schedules and enrollment plans for the entire Southeast student body, as well as supervising activities of the office staff, faculty, and student body. 10

Miss Fanny Thompson, senior counselor, advises seniors concerning graduation requirements and assists Mr. liare with College Night. Junior counselor Mr. Richard Elving and sophomore counselor Mrs. June Turner discuss personal problems, as well as scholastic difficulties, with prospective upperclassmen. Discussing college entrance requirements and examinations with stu- dents is a primary task of Mr Corwin E. Bare, college counselor. Students Directed By Guidance Counselors Coordinator of the guidance center and college counselor, Mr. Corwin E. Bare conferred with students about aptitude and college entrance examinations, scholarships, and various colleges. He also organized College Night and Career Day. Miss Fanny Thompson, senior counselor, explained graduation requirements to seniors. The junior and sophomore counselors. Mr. Richard Elving and Mrs. June Turner, helped future seniors and juniors to determine their courses for the next year. 12
