MR. O. J. BUDD B.S. M,Ed. Vice Principal MR.JOHN GASPER BS., lvl. Ed. Assistant Principal Combined Effort f dministrative Team nd Dedicated 3i5'r'ErQiSEi'iw OCTOE Coordinating school activities is a major responsibility of Assistant principal John Gasper Mr. O. J. Budd, vice-principal, was a counselor and assist- ant principal at East High School before coming to Southeast in 1957. Also known as the ofiice manager, he supervises new teachers' activities and organizes the oHice staff. In the past much of Mr. Budd's time was spent in schedul- ing students' classes, but with the use of the IBM schedule cards he can turn his attention to more important office mat- ters and schedule conflicts. Mr. Budd feels that the IBM machines offer great advantages to the office personnel, be- sides saving them a great amount of time. Schedule changes do take longer to process using the machines, but there are fewer of them occurring. The confusion during the first days of school was reduced because the machines eliminated class cards that students filled out and most of the schedule changes that kept the guidance center full. Assistant principal Mr. John Casper returned to Southeast from the University of Wyoming after year's leave of absence where he earned the necessary hours for his doctorate de- gree. He is presently fulfilling the last requirements toward his degree. Before coming to Southeast in 1959 he was a coach and principal at Arkansas Avenue School. Mr. Casper works closely with the students in their club activities, elections, scheduling extra-curricular activities, and disciplinary problems. He has been kept especially busy since the activity tickets were introduced in 1964. Every morning he informs the students of the news of the day and activities to come as he reads the morning bulletin.
