SHIMMERING STARDUST CLOCKWISE: 1 — Arrival at Cotillion 2 — Chuck Warner, matter of coro monies 3 — Couplet pauso between dances The night of Jan. 12 was cold. For the second time in two years, snow was still on the ground as the cars of juniors and seniors pulled up at the Cotillion ballroom. Bright lights, the smell of flowers, the sound of laughter and the music of Stan Elliott's band greeted arriving couples. After weeks of hoping and anticipation, the 1963 junior-senior prom. Shimmering Stardust, became a reality. The prom was half over when, under a lavish chandalier and amid decorations of gold stars, Ken Co- berly and Martha Crane were crowned king and queen. Junior attendants were Annette Achenbach and Gary Holland, Linda Van- daveer and Jim Swinney. Senior at- tendants were Joan McCabe and Jim Randall, Karen McDaniel and Tommy Sullivan. Chuck Warner was master of ceremonies. Reality has a way of becoming the past. After three hours of danc- ing and talking, Shimmering Star- dust came to an end. Another junior-senior prom has become history.
