I have learned more by living with you in your Castle for one year than I have learned in all of my high school years combined in my country, Italy. I have had the chance to see America from an inside view and have learned to understand the American people. I have been an American teen-ager with all of the pleasures and responsi- bilities that you, my friends, have experienced. I can say now that although customs and ways of doing things differ, boys and girls are alike all over the world. The American Field Service, through its program, is trying to show that the peoples of the world must know each other for we are all brothers. We sometimes fail to realize this fact. I thank you, Knights and Ladies, for helping me to understand this basic truth. I thank you again because for one year you have been my world-my wonderful world.
