YOUR MOVE by Yes Take a straight and stronger course, to the corner of your life. Make the white Queen run so fast, she hasn't got time to make you wise. Cause it's time, it's time in time with your time and its news, is captured for the Queen to use. Move me on to any black square, use me any time you want, just remember that the gold's for us all to capture, all we want, anywhere. Don't surround yourself with yourself, move on back two squares, send an instant comment to me, initial it with a loving care. Cause it's time, it's time in time with your time and its news is captured for the Queen to use.

FQEIVE BER . . F363 U R The death of Arthur Girouard brought a sad mo- ment to his family and his many friends. These two pages of our Yearbook are in honor of a man who touched the lives of so many, in a kind and considerate YVI.l.Y. As caretaker of Dresser Street Field for many years, he was an inspiration to many young athletes, stepping up the plateaus from grammar school to junior high and high school. And later, when they went on to college, the armed forces or jobs in society, they al- ways came back to visit Art Girouard. They remem- bered him and he remembered them, as well. He took great pride in his work. To him, Dresser Field was his castle and domain. He always strived to keep it neat and tidy and his perserverance brought him praise and compliments from people who visited the field. Many a youngster will remember a scolding finger from Art, for playing ball where they were not supposed to. But his sternness was only a reflection of the moment. Minutes later, he would offer a word of praise or encouragement to the lad. And Art Girouard loved Southbridge High kids. His many photos and clippings, artfully adorning his office and press box walls, were put up because he wanted to do it. He was fiercely proud of the Red and White. And he showed no prejudice. just about everyone who took a step into Dresser Street Field got his or her picture taken by Arthur. The man was more than just a caretaker and friend to young and old. He was perhaps the truest South- bridge High rooter around. To him, SHS teams were the best, in victory or defeat. And when a Southbridge Pioneer football team came in after a bitter loss, it was Art Girouard's head that was bowed with the players. And we all knew his moods when we won, especially a victory over Bartlett. Art Girouard's infectious smile touched us all. He was a kind, considerate man. A friend to many and we will remember . . . 95 .,' llfl L' FY I
