A striking parallel lies between this community's jubilee and the climax of our years at Southbridge High. Each event provides an opportunity for rec- ollection of, reilection on, and rededication toward attaining our goals in a bright and shining future. -x.5,:,...-A-'-F' X , , X V X , -, X xx 'AN Gam, X x' X X X nm, if EL x ,. As each of us goes his separate way, faces may be forgotten and memories may slip away, but nothing can erase the loyalty we hold for our home town. Looking upon our graduation day, we feel honored and privileged, a feeling surpassed only by the honor and privi- lege of being a part of the growing Southbridge community. The Class of 1966 wishes the town of Southbridge a joyous celebration on this, the sesquicentennial anniversary of its founding. 7 153 EA:, J -, f ,- il It iw .' ...g ft ,. g--f ' .- .--, LX I- ,,.f-t - il - 1 -K- I - -- Q Mr. Paul Bergeron We the class of 1966 are sincerely grateful to our class advisers, Mr. N. Entitled Bon Vo - agen, the social gathering was dedi- cated to the mighty seniors of '65 as they took one long. last look at our hallowed halls. The Prom Committee, led by chair- man Bill Bastien, did their best to out-do all previous classes in decora- tions and scenery. The resulting beauty set the scene for an ocean- going vessel with a lighthouse and a city's skyline off in the distance. Traditional dance music was re- placed by popular tunes as many a stately gown tparticipated in the hec- tic motions o the jerk and the frug. The Queen, Patty Dubreuil, and her court reigned supreme over an even- ing of regal splendor. -.-:::1-f:-.253 .t gs .... ,W ,Q , , .-.t ...,-., za . .v 4: -. p 5:-t53,.glm,. .N . The cheerleaders. who did a tremendous job cheering at the game in the morn- ing. set the mood for the evening by gayly de- corating the gym in red and white streamers. The victory bell rang loudly and clearly throughout the dance. announcing the Pioneer's victory over the Bartlett Indians by a score of 14-0 that Thanks- giving morning at Dresser St. Field. The spontaneous reception given to the play by the public was a tribute to the superb directors, Mr. Britch and Miss Baker, as well as to the entire cast. The concert was an appropriate opening to the Christmas sea- son for it created a mood of merriment brought to life by the vocal and instrumental talent of our student ody. The Modern Dance Group contributed to the concert's suc- cess by presenting the Nativity scene as the background to a vocal se ection, The spirit of Christmas prevailed throughout the concert and seemed to be absorbed y the audience who left feeling that they had been musically introduced into the Yuletide season. 3 , TALENT SHOW t The theme of this year's talent show was the entertainment of two courageous astronauts as they traveled to the moon in their spacecraft, Fizzout I. Before a capacity crowd, master of ceremonies, Tom Christo introduced astronauts Ronald Blais and Doug Monroe. From lift-off to recovery the spacemen and audience alike were treated to the talents of seventeen great acts. Highlightini the show was the appearance of the popular combo Mic ey and the Motions, t e debut of adgreat jazz group Mogan David and the Grapes of Wrath, an stunning performances by soloists Ruth Petrelli, Janice Libera, and onald Blais.
