MR. COLEMAN E. PERKINS J. WILBERT JONES, Supt. D E DICAT IO N We sincerely dedicate this first issue of SEA SPRAY, to Mr. J. Wilbert Jones, our principal, who brought to us and encouraged us in the idea of a Yearbook, by giving us his full support and help, and to Mr. Coleman E. Perkins, with- out whose guidance, direction, and hard work, we could not have made the idea a reality. We deeply appreciate this interest and assistance, fully realizing that without their cooperation, we could not have made the SEA SPRAY a success. 2 FOREWORD The building of a yearbook is not an easy task for any of those involved. SEA SPRAY, Southampton High School's yearbook has been no exception. By hard work, the staff has endeavored to make this annual all that it should be, constantly keeping in mind that the finished product should be a book of memories, which in the future shall serve as an invaluable epitome of the activities of the year '49-'50 at S. H. S. We are proud of our Alma Mater and happy to have the memories of these high school days preserved in the SEA SPRAY. J. WILBERT JONES, Supt. 3 Miss Edna Wood, Secretary; Mr. J.
