School Spirit O nce again this year the spirit of S.W.H.S. filled the hallways during the week of November 2-6. The ju¬ niors led the student body in the daily activities. Monday re-ad¬ dressed last years idea of a hat and shades day”,and Tuesday was backwards Day”. Sloppy clothes came out in full force on Wednesday. What was your fa¬ vorite occupation? Thursday was the day to dress up in work clothes. Priests, nuns, dancers and McDonalds employees, just to name a few, showed up at S.W.H.S. To close our week Ma¬ roon and Gold Day” continued as part of the spirit week tradi¬ tion. A pep rally ended our school day, Friday, with a bon fire taking place later in the evening. The homecoming game was played Saturday against Rock¬ ville- S.W.H.S. crushed the rams 33-9. After the boys got off the field the senior girls won the powder puff game against the ju¬ nior girls. To end up the week, the stu¬ dents converged at the come together” homecoming dance dressed in mini skirts and bell- bottoms, tie-dyes and bandanas. The theme was, of course, the 60 s- peace, love and a good time for everybody involved in spirit week. Students rise to the occasion, as the cheerleaders make their rounds in the gym at the first Pep Rally of the year before Homecom¬ ing. A student watches with uplifting spirit as the band plays The Star Spangled Banner at the Pep Rally. A touching moment for all. Student Life 11

Perhaps this portrait is a display of power of the girls Varsity Soccer team, or is it just a bid for atten¬ tion? You decide. And here now to boost our classes school spirit is our Bobcat himself, Donny Cyr. Mis job is to get a rise out of the students. 10 Student Life
