WITH GRATITUDE FROM THE CLASS OF 1979 1976 was a year of beginnings. We, as students, began our career at South Windsor High School, and Mr. Greg¬ ory Plunkett assumed the position of Vice-Principal. Since those early years, we have grown in many ways as has our respect for Mr. Plunkett. As Prin¬ cipal, he listened to our problems, cared about us, and was involved in all facets of our school life. We the Class of 1979 therefore dedicate the Centur¬ ion to Mr. Plunkett, a man of honor, dignity, and fairness, who we thank for his guidance and will not soon forget.

MERCURE Business Manager As you complete this important phase of your education it would be only natural for each of you to pause and reflect upon these years of school and the influence they have had upon your life. I would hope that each of you finds her or himself prepared for the next role in your life. I would further hope that you will begin to feel the loss of an important part of your life — teachers, classes, music, sports, friends, games, dances, and all the other unique expe¬ riences that you have had in your school life. Many, many people have worked hard and with dedication to provide these experiences for you. Besides teachers, your parents and members of the community have supported your education and look to you as the future leaders of our community and Nation.
