Sowbitet' 1946 Luo I-lARot,n Guru 2135 Walbert .M e. Leo is one ol' our leading singers at school. Portraytny the pilrl of Uncle 'I'om in the American Troubador , Senior Operetta, Leo did a very line job of singing Obi Dem Golden Slippers. He spends much of his spare time working at what he plans to make his future occupation, auto body repairing. Course: General BETTY HAAS Goplay. Route :fi-l Since Betty is our math wizard, we're not surprised to learn that she expects to study math. However, her talents extend to her other studies as well, for she has had highest honors all through high school. But Betts likes fun, too, and she has an extraordinary sense of humor. Betty has not dehnitely decided on a college but she hopes to attend Penn State. Course: :Xcatletnic Band l. 2. Il. I: Orchestra l. 2. fl. Al: Mixed Chorus l: Girls' Chorus El. I: Senior Operetta 3: junior Oratorical Gontest: Senior Play. CHRISTINE HAAS Route l. Allentown Teeny is a girl who goes about her work quietly and efficiently. Sports occupy a great deal of her spare time, which accounts for the fact that she very seldom misses a basketball game. 1946 Sovobiter is Guru LEE Goon Ballielsvillc Goodies greatest interests lie outside ol' school, for his hobbies are hunting, trapping and swimming. However, during school hours we are apt to Gnd him in the wood shop, for he takes much pleasure in his work and rates shop as his favorite subject. Lee is still undecided as to what he will do next year. Course: General DoNALn GUTH - llfl So. 38th St. Stretch, contrary to his nickname, is the shortest boy in our class. He proved himself a fine actor in the Junior play, and literally rolled them in the aisles with his portrayal of a red-headed woman in the Bargain Bride. He would like to work in an oflice after graduation. Course: Commercial Band 1, 2, 3, 4: Orchestra 1. 2, 3. 4: junior Play 3: Debate Play. Don II3 South 38th St. Although Doris' red hair strikes everyones attention, it is her sunny personality that accounts for her popu- larity. She has taken an active part in dramatics and music. Doris' favorite out-of-school activities are roller-skating, dancing, and just having a good time. Al though reading is another of her hobbies, she finds time for piano playing too. Marion's liking for chem- istry explains her decision to enter the nursing pro- fession. Course: Academic Girls' Chorus 3. Pl: Home Economics Club l. IEANIEI, HEICKMAN moi N . A . .22nd St. Dan is the quiet, likeable typeg the kind of fellow that you can depend on to be your friend. His recre- ational interests lie in the field of sports, the greater part of his spare time being devoted to hunting and fishin . Daniel plans to enter Trade School after 3 I graduation. Course: General BE'I'TY HEIl.NIAN Route 452 Betty is one of the girls with music on the brain. This can easily be seen since she belongs to the glee club and to the church choir. She also served as band manager in her Sophomore and junior years. Since shorthand is her favorite subject, we are certain she will make a capable secretary.
