Ellllllllll Nineteen Hundred and Forty-Five Presented by The Senior Glass oF South Whitehall l-ligh School Allentown, Pennsylvania 7 Foreword Leaving these cherished halls and depart- ing into a world of conflict, we, the Senior Class of l945, wish to express our sincerest appreciation for the guidance and knowl- edge rendered us through many days of studies. May this, the tenth annual So- whiter, serve as a remembrance of the pleasant days spent at South Whitehall. May it also serve as an inspiration to the students of the future. Qedicoztion 1 1 1 To those boys and girls who, either voluntarily or involuntarily, entered the armed services of our country and were thus unable to complete their courses of study with their fellow classmates at South Whitehall, we dedicate this tenth annual SOWHITER. Our sincerest wish is for their speedy and safe return to a World of peace. Qomtemts ADMINISTRATION AND FACULTY SENIORS CLASSES ORGANIZATIONS ATHLETICS FEATURES South Whitehall High School OWOIV V These former students and faculty members have graciously rendered their services to fight and give their lives that we might retain the principles of democ- racy upon which American education is based. Noble shrine of Truth and Light, YVe praise Thee ever to the skies Where wisdom rules the heavens bright. Portals wide are ever opened To our youth that, ne'er denied, Acclaims Thee with exulting voice, So joyful with Thee to abide. Praises linger on our lips As We depart Thy cherished halls, No more to view the happy throngs Of loved ones still within Thy walls. Ne'er forgetting, ne'er regretting Precious days so quickly flown, Oh! Alma Mater, hear our song, Our hymn of praise for Thee along.
