Q . QS sw' William W. Swallow We, the class of 1941, owe much of our success to Mr. Swallow, the chairman of our class advisers. Through his untiring efforts, he has inspired the class to do bigger and better things. The success of our dances is attri- buted to the many ideas and artis- tic ability which he has presented to the class. On behalf of all the seniors, we are grateful for the advice he has given us. Marjorie R. Minner Much of the success of the senior class is due to Miss Minner's excel- lent support in helping us reach our goal. She has inspired the class to increase their achievements through her constant guidance. At our dances Miss Minner has supervised and aided the commit- tees in charge of refreshments. We wish to thank her for the in- terest which she has shown in our class.

R16 06 Class History As we review the pleasant memories of bygone days, we are reminded of the friendships and acquaintances we enjoyed at South Whitehall. As Sophomores in 1938, we re-elected Steven Plarr, President ofthe class, Edward Bortz was elected Vice President, Helen Messner, Secretaryg and Viola Reinsmith, Treasurer. , The first real event was a field trip to the Reading Museum. Both boys and girls took an active part in sports. The cheerleaders were: Sophie Wenninger, Jeanne Bittner, June Borman, and Ferne Bortz. During this year several students joined the Trumpet Staff. This staff was increased with more of our members during the next two years. With Alton HoiTman in the lead, some of the students of our class joined the debating team under Mr. Meckley's guidance. Gradually a change took place and we found we were becoming more dignified . With this change we realized we were Juniors and had only two more years of school.
