AV1Ht1OD Club The Aviation Club is the newest club at South NVestern High School, having been in- troduced this year. The purpose of the club is to provide an understanding of aviation principles and pre-Hight facts. In Club meetings the members are shown films to make airplanes and flying principles clearer to the would-be pilot. The Aviation Club is open to anyone interested in a course of instruction on aviation ground training. President Chris Burns Vice-President Jay Kintzing Secretary Debbie Zumbrum Adviser Mr. Troutman Key Club The Key Club is a service organization sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Hanover for boys in the senior high school. The South Western Club was organized four years ago to develop leadership and to serve the school, the church, and the com- munity. Since chartering in 1962, the Key Club has sent delegates to International Conventions in Pittsburgh, Dallas and Chicago. The Student Councils are com- posed of the presidents of each homeroom in South NVestern High School. Student Council represents the student body and organizes a government for the school. These representatives plan entertainment and activities for the students, both during and outside of school, and try to better the relationships between students and faculty. af . 'wt I A-fl-J' XVho thinks they're big enough to take my girl? The Pep Club is made up of Mustang fans who come to the games to urge the team on to victory. The leaders of the club are the cheerleaders who teach club members the cheers and the chants. The members also attend pep rallies where they help the cheerleaders lead the student body in cheers. Roger Sterner Jody Bollinger Eligibility is based on scholarship, which requires maintenance of a B average, leadership among the student body, service to others, and char- acter.
