Relationships built on trust A special person to share special times What is a relationship without trust? Not much! Trust was the key word in any working relationship. Whether it was your special someone, your best friend, or the people you hung around with on Saturday nights, trust was the back- bone of it all. The personal relationships were the major aspects of everyday life. Within every relationship there were good and bad times. Fights, be- trayal, and jealousy could destroy the bond between people. Arguments were an everyday occurence for some. But all in all a true friendship could withstand anything. Trusting others wasn’t al- ways easy, but having a friend to talk to make the rough times smoother. Peer relationships usually took precedence over family relationships. Freshman Angie Ellis said, A best friend is someone to do things with and someone who will trust your secrets.” Comfort, Sharing and sim- ply being together has a bonding effect on relation- ships.
