S.V.H.S. Communication Lines Student Council once again came through for the student body in good times as well as bad. Under the guidance of sponsors, Mr. Boatman and Miss Dowdy lots of enjoyment was brought to S.V. through convocations and the traditional Christmas Dance. Many other items of interest, such as the pop machine in the gym, were pushed by Student Council in a successful attempt to meet the needs of the student body. Cadet Corp also displayed utmost courtesy and intelligence as well as availability to the benefit of all. They were involved in such services as tour guides, aiding incoming freshmen, orientations, and open house. Their knowledge of the school structure and administration proved outstanding and they were more than appreciated by the faculty, student body, and the community. This was certainly a year for Student Leadership at South Vermillion. WCAT retained two former disc jockeys and took on three more just as promising.
