Breakin Free in 83 seemed an appropriate theme for this class at S.V.H.S. From August 24, 1979, as incoming Freshmen, through May 22, 1983, as outgoing grads, they made themselves noticed in more ways than one: Never before had a class at S.V.H.S. paid the cost of having their senior portraits in color, this was the 1st class to complete, in full, the newer S.V. school system as it is, junior high through senior high, and certainly this class was not lacking in talent and diversifying skills. However, in spite of all this, 1983 seniors experienced many letdowns and heartaches. There remained feelings of regret as well as mixed emotions at the close of the year over many unhappy situations. We, the class of 1983, may not be the most remembered class to others, but to each other we will never be forgotten. Bonzo Smith is showing off his brute strength. 29
