(Back) Tim Sturm, Cindy Stevens, Lori Thomas, Marilyn Hawkins, Director, Candy Fortune, Cathy Jackson, Stage Managers, and Diane Hill, Student Director: After a somewhat rough start, in which it looked as though there was no hope for a drama production at SV, this year, the nights of April 1 and 2 were set aside and work started on the spring play, “Mother Is A Freshman.” The fourteen member cast had under six weeks in which to learn their lines and apply the finishing touches. The play was under the direction of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Hawkins and Elaine Gam- baiani who devoted a lot of time and ener- gy to make it a huge success. Close friendships were made and tears were shed when it was over, but everyone who participated felt it was an experience they’ll never forget. 29

30 SV Hosts The Peanuts Gang!! The songs of the Peanuts gang rang through the halls of SV as the cast of “You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown started practicing in late February. The musical took a different format this year as the characters presented a variety of short sketches instead of a continuous story. The small cast, which consisted of seven members, allowed for a special closeness to develop. The production was directed by Miss Donna Hall, who also directs the SV Choir.
