SV's own radio station, WCAT, provided the students with “top tunes” in the mornings and important announcements heard everyday at the beginning of sec- ond hour. Under the supervision of Mr. Don Shearer, the radio station (via the intercom system) has lasted for three years and is fast becoming another tradi- tion at SV. Student government was alive and well at SV in 1981-82 as the Student Council again provided the all-important “link” between the students and the administra- tion. In addition to their many duties, the Student Council sponsors the annual Chrismas Dance. However, the weather took its toll at SV as the dance was can- celled because of snow. In cooperation with the new roller-skating facility in the community, Clinton Skateworld, the Council was able to hold a fund-raising skating party for Cerebral Palsy. The Cadet Corps, sponsored by Mrs. Mary Pilipovich and Mr. Robert Waugh, continued to fulfill their duties at the open house, sporting events, plays and many other functions. The 11 hosts and host- esses project a sense of pride at SV and will continue to remain a vital part of our school. WCAT Disc Jockeys (Front) Joe Everhart, Sally King, Teresa Cappa.
