THE EAGLE STAFF HEPES hlff XVE XVHlS'l'l,liD XVHILE XYIZ XVORKED 'l'he old saying, 'Klixperience is the best teacher. probably holds much truth, but some- times the schooling is severe on the pupil. livery Eagle staff member is aware of how severe the experience can be. All through the term the stall' had a growing appreciation ol' the problems ol' compressing dear old S.l'.H.S. into still' covers. lt is a job that we found was big and. as the months raced bv, grew constantly bigger. And the standards had to be kept up to perlection, or our boss man. Nlr. Clupelli, would explode wrath. Arranging interminable schedules for pic- tures . . . announcing cancellations caused by lall rains and winter snows . . . planning rc- Charles Bednar, Mr. Cupelli, and Catherine Solesky discuss pictures for use in the Yearbook. takes when some exhuberant boy reached for his shoelace just as the shutter clicked . . . track- ing down seniors who kept dodging the camera . . . choosing the perfect cover material . . . typing names and names and names . . . select- ing photos and thinking something bright to say about them . . . convincing relatives, friends. and even strangers that they should buy more than one copy . . . reading prool till the commas began to waltz with the periods - these are some ol' the things that became a part of our lives. But the storm was weathered. and thanks to lots ol good will from everyone. the book was sent to the printer.
