The annual staff was made up of Seniors who were already members of the Eagle Staff. Others were selected by the editor- in-chief, Marjorie Steele and appointments confirmed by Miss Van Zandt, staff advisor, The purpose of the annual staff is to publish a book that will keep the memories of our high school days vivid in our minds. Every member gave freely all his time and efforts to make the annual a success. PATROLSQUAD The patrol squad was first organized seven years ago under the super- vision of Mr. Howard McKee, who is now the assistant football coach. At the present Mr. Conn Costolo is sponsor of the patrol squad. Every year the captain or co-captains were appointed by Mr. Costolo but last year the captain was selected by the squad members. Members are chosen by their sponsor for: Scholarship, Reliability, Trustworthiness, and Character. They may be suspended if they do not measure up to these qualifications. The duties of the squad are: To keep order in the halls, take tickets at the shows and plays and place chairs in the auditorium. LIFE IN Page 22

WINTER BASKETBALL The 1940-41 South Union High School basketball season was a most successful one with the Blue Devils winning every game, thus becoming champs of Section 22. Leaving the 40-41 are three seniors, Al Krizner, re- cognized as one of the finest cagers in the county, Charles Stefancin, an ag- gressive lad who played well on the offense and defense, and Alex Rusnak, a stellar guard who did well defensively.
