THE EAGLE 27 Sophia Franczyk is stirring up political interest within its respective circles with her speeches on the subject, 'ls Prohibition a Success' ? The Professional and Business Women's Association of America, of which Hazel Gwynne is president, met in Chicago at a national convention. Among those present were several South Union graduates, namely Blanche Fisher, Anna Mae Stallbaum, Maria Mc- Hugh, Dorothy Woodward, Matilda Miller, Elizabeth Kephart, Bertha Kushnir, Helen On- drako, and Julia Kosco. Mack Frankhouser has been named by literary critics as America's greatest humor- ist. He is internationally known as the author of 'Nightingales and Fords' which is widely acclaimed as the best novel since 'Huckleberry Finn'. Mary Bealko is still selling candy-in the lobby of the Savoy-Carlton Hotel in New York. Willa Seiler and Felicia Santore are conducting a matrimonial agency in Saint Louis, Missouri. Pauline Schnatterly is the private secretary of Eddie Haley, New York's foremost capitalist. Walter Zajac, Paul Stefanie, and John Massimiani are conducting the Dude Ranch in Wyoming. Stanley Regula, Leonard Knoblock, Mike Katen and Russell Moyer are as- sisting them. Stopping off at the ranch on their trip to California are Mildred Gray, Ernestina Grisetti, Concetta Massimiani, and Elizabeth Filitsky. Charles Cooper has accepted a position as music instructor of SUHS to succeed Clif- ford Brown. Of similar interest is the fact that Robert Lineburg replaces Rubinoff as the World's most popular violinist. Frances Rehanek and Ellen Romesburg are conducting the Picadilly Tea Room. Assisting them are Madelyn White, Pauline Worthington, Elsie Miller, and Eva Jane Wat- son. Martha David, Donna Crable, and Ruth Kushon are peacefully married and are 'keeping the home fires burning', Dorothy Morgan, Louise Nameth, and Margaret Martin are sales clerks in the Everly-Williams department store at Fifth and Broadway, Philadelphia. Arthur Everly and Glenn Williams are co-partners in the ownership of this store. Domineck Margheret and Roi Watts are operating a pretzel factory in Milliontown, Missouri. But now, my time is up so I'l'l stay Cheerio and a pleasant good-night to all my lis- terners. This is little George Fike, your news broadcaster, signing off. Good Night, All. Later, at the close of an extremely delightful and entertaining evening, the guests disbanded, with plans arranged for a similar meeting one year hence. So until then--.
