THE EAGLE 27 Sophia Franczyk is stirring up political interest within its respective circles with her speeches on the subject, 'ls Prohibition a Success' ? The Professional and Business Women's Association of America, of which Hazel Gwynne is president, met in Chicago at a national convention. Among those present were several South Union graduates, namely Blanche Fisher, Anna Mae Stallbaum, Maria Mc- Hugh, Dorothy Woodward, Matilda Miller, Elizabeth Kephart, Bertha Kushnir, Helen On- drako, and Julia Kosco. Mack Frankhouser has been named by literary critics as America's greatest humor- ist. He is internationally known as the author of 'Nightingales and Fords' which is widely acclaimed as the best novel since 'Huckleberry Finn'. Mary Bealko is still selling candy-in the lobby of the Savoy-Carlton Hotel in New York. Willa Seiler and Felicia Santore are conducting a matrimonial agency in Saint Louis, Missouri. Pauline Schnatterly is the private secretary of Eddie Haley, New York's foremost capitalist. Walter Zajac, Paul Stefanie, and John Massimiani are conducting the Dude Ranch in Wyoming. Stanley Regula, Leonard Knoblock, Mike Katen and Russell Moyer are as- sisting them. Stopping off at the ranch on their trip to California are Mildred Gray, Ernestina Grisetti, Concetta Massimiani, and Elizabeth Filitsky. Charles Cooper has accepted a position as music instructor of SUHS to succeed Clif- ford Brown. Of similar interest is the fact that Robert Lineburg replaces Rubinoff as the World's most popular violinist. Frances Rehanek and Ellen Romesburg are conducting the Picadilly Tea Room. Assisting them are Madelyn White, Pauline Worthington, Elsie Miller, and Eva Jane Wat- son. Martha David, Donna Crable, and Ruth Kushon are peacefully married and are 'keeping the home fires burning', Dorothy Morgan, Louise Nameth, and Margaret Martin are sales clerks in the Everly-Williams department store at Fifth and Broadway, Philadelphia. Arthur Everly and Glenn Williams are co-partners in the ownership of this store. Domineck Margheret and Roi Watts are operating a pretzel factory in Milliontown, Missouri. But now, my time is up so I'l'l stay Cheerio and a pleasant good-night to all my lis- terners. This is little George Fike, your news broadcaster, signing off. Good Night, All. as THE EAGLE CLASS PRCPHECY Let's interrupot the apparently gay party in one of New York's most up-to-date su- burban residences, shall we? Lcunging cozily around the huge log fireplace, we find Mr. and Mrs. Cole, the host and hostess. Mrs. Cole we will remember as the former Patti Curstead. They have been reminiscing with the group of guests they have invited in to an evening of bridge or what have-you given to celebrate the fifteenth anniversary of the graudation of the class of 36 from S. U. H. S. Among the guests we find Patti Clark, Dramatic Instructor in the West Philadelphia High Schoolg Joseph Loncaric, Olympic Coach for the United States swimming team, Mildred Shoaf, Dean of the Granell Institute for Womeng Ned McClure, who is affiliated with the Accounting Depart ment of the Civil Service at Washington, D. C.g Genevieve Slazek, who has won fame throughout the United States and Europe for her mellow contralto voice, Drs. Grace Baker and James Van Gilder, famous surgeons, Gene- vieve Kemp and Henrietta Francis, nurses at Johns Hopkins Hospital and Mafalda Croce, a nurse at St. Francis Hospital, Jane Robinson, editor of the New York Herald Tribune and a few of her star reporters, Robert Swan, Walter Hostetler, Andrew Roth, and Wilson Romesburgg Jeanne and Grayce Wilson, successors to Elizabeth Arden as the world's most famous beauty experts who have established shops all over the worldg and Charles Stall- baum, famous baseball short stop, second only to Honus Hans Wagner. Chatting gaily about this one and that one, the conversation is suddenly broken by Patti Clark when she inquires, My dears, aren't you tuning in on the March of Time on WUSU? You know George Fike, a classmate in '36 is the news announcer, and I thought that since this was our fif- teenth anniversary, he might announce something concerning more of our fellow class- mates. We can see him through your television set. So here is what ensued. Radio audience-the March of Time! Time Rolls On! But tonight, Time rolls back to 1936, when in a township district high school we see a graduating class of 80 students receiving their just honors with which thy enter their respective fields of service. To- night we shall try to see what each one is doing. Albert Bell has just recently been awarded the Nobel Prize for the finest literary contribution on International Peace. Joseph Ringy Stefancin, famous basketball star and coach, has just been named successor to Doc Carlson of the University of Pittsburgh as basketball coach. Betty Juli has established a world-wide reputation for making the chewing gum products more effective! She has discoverd a process by which chewing gum renews its flavor-rather a perpetual flavor idea!!! The widely acclaimed moving picture, 'Evening in Paris', co-starring Betty Sned- don and Annastasia Farmer, has just been released. It is taking the country by storm. Playing opposite these two favorite stars are Johnny Myers and Junior Cefaratti. This picture is directed by John Tomaselli, of TKU studios. Perry Cipolletti, universally acclaimed inventor, has just had patented his new U- type motcr to be installed in rocket ships. With this motor, the trip to Mars can be made in 13 hours. Anna Lou Johnson, America's finest cooking authority, has just publicized her new tip to housewives and girls on how to keep cakes from 'falling'. The Metropolitan Opera has just made a 'find' in Florence Curstead, new operatic star to succeed Lily Pons, Allen Reagan and Joseph Ruper are joint owners of the Ruper-Reagan undertaking establishment at Staten Island, New York.
