E YD is ff , IN-f' N, V7 Debate Team, F5156 One of the big things we can be proud ot this year is our State Championship Debate team. And we can be prouder still when we recall that this is the third consecutive year that our team has won the highest honor in debate. Not only that, but this is our seventh championship. Quite a record! Above are the people who made this honor possible. Left to right they are David Madis. Sharon Schultz, Mr. R. J. Happe, the debate coach, Anita Pampusch, and Karen Seeger. Sharon and Karen have been members of the championship teams for the last three years. This year's championship was won in competition with seventeen other schools at Macal- ester College on February 18. Not only do these people function well as a team, but it you'll look near their pictures in the senior section you'll find that they are very active as individuals, too. Here in school we so frequently find that those who do the most do the best, and that's cer- tainly true here. So we are doubly proud of these people: first, for what they have accomplished in the field of debate, and second for their many other contributions to the school community. We hope the sophomores and juniors will take over where these seniors have left off, and carry on the school tradition of tops in debate! THE KAPOSIA
