Curriculum The program of studies is, of course, the most important although not always the most spectacular part of school life. At South Sioux City there are several major courses available to students. They are: college preparatory which prepares for college, commercial course which prepares for work in the business world, the fine arts course emphasizes training in music and speech, the general course provides a large variety of courses, industrial arts provides four years of shop work, and home economics gives the girl additional training in the important art of home-making. On the next six pages are some scenes typical of the scholastic life of South Sioux High School. The first two scenes were taken of the biology class, and the one at the bottom of the page was taken in the chemistry laboratory.
