Perhaps their en- deavors have foimed a spirit that explains the dedication almost overlooked by us-the dedication of athletes passing long after-school hours in practice and incorporating train- ing restrictions into their lives, or of photographers attend- ing sports contests and recording spectacular moments of competition. Friendships start Wit in Sophomore Rick Penny puts all his ability into lining up the ball as classmate Fred Simon contemplates approaches to his next shot. Sophomores Lynn Mansbach, Nancy Schmidt, and Ann Rob- ertson get together on week- ends to discuss school, listen to records, and read magazines.
