Hard at work during the Christmas season, Hi-Y members Steve Pratt, Stan Redding, John Biteman, and Karl Bandemer sell Christmas trees for the local YMCA. Service . . . Spring cleaning anyone? These Assemblies Workshop members, Phil Spray, Sue Horth, Lissa Hoffman, Sue Kelley, and Martha Lanning seem to be making the best of the situation as they clean the club's storeroom. Mr. Everett Havens demonstrates signals used by the referees during football games. A selection from Bach? No, it's a band of South Side's distinguished faculty members performing their rendition of the school song to cheer the basketball team on to a Sectional victory. 21

Relating the responsibility for the growth of Fort Wayne to Service Club members, Mr. Earl Schwalm delivers the principal speech while Jim Carter and Dave Dill give him their attention at the annual banquet for Service Club members. Providing a service to the school, Junior Red Cross mem- bers Porter Pace, Marcia Melching, Marsha Bechtold, Sherry Hall, and Alice Ashton, apply a little elbow grease to the publications trophies. Where's the ladder, cries Dave Schwalm, who, aided by John Wilks, Larry Allen, Sylvia Ehrman, and Sharon Carrel, is trying to decorate the goal- posts before a football game. A friend? wonders Susie Scott as she receives a parking ticket from one of the policemen who controls school traffic. 23
