Judge Heath, portrayed by Tom Felger, other members of the senior play cast, and the jury picked from the audience, hear testimony about the Night of January 16. Waving good-by to the well-wishers who have come to see them off, journalists Evie North, Sally Capps, Jim Carter, Bob Shine, and adviser, Mr. James Rohrabaugh eagerly anticipate the coming week at Columbia University in New York City. Jack Harms begins his search in the chemistry lab. Lissa Hoffman, searching for term paper material in the public library, ponders upon the selection of just the right book. 10
