- f SJ v The log records many pep sessions this past year. The above is an example of one of them. Lettermen pre- sented it before we played North Side in the form of a Congressional investigation to lind out who was Red. The cameraman is Dennis Mclntyre, and the senators seated at the table are, from left to right, Dick Branting- ham, secretary, Tom Pinder, Ellis Ralston, and Norman Miner. Bunko Clarkson is the director. Collecting canned goods for Christmas baskets was a school activity guided by the Lettermen. The good sea- men in the center are, from left to right, Bob Rossiter, jim Fuzy, Bill Gerig, Stu Koch, and Dick Brantingham. I 3flL97 77Ze7fl S South Sides sportsmen who have earned a letter compose this club, led by Mr. Ora Davis. The annual events of Lettermen's are the banquet and the dance. At Christmas time, Lettermen backed the collection of food for the needy. The seniors of the 1955 graduating class wish to ex- press their deep thanks for the patience of the sponsors and advisers of all the clubs at South. These clubs have been a blessing. After the many hard hours of study and concentration in classrooms, the activities after school offer a pleasant relief from the strenuous schedule. A student is given a chance to do something worth- while for the school through these activities. It is through them that the school gets many much-needed articles, 96 such as the record-player and the combination crystal bowl, candlestick holders, and tray. Lettermen's Club collected canned foods for the Christmas baskets for the poor, and most of the clubs, including Lettermen's, presented pep sessions with skits for the entertainment of the entire student body. This is just a brief summary of the many activities the clubs did this past year. The senior class again says thanks for the good work the clubs and advisers have done. 1 i I P

Banc! Band members will long remember this year as a great one, for they received smart new gray uniforms. These have been long-awaited and worked for by the band members. One way in which they plan to pay for the uniforms is by the production of an annual band benefit show. The first one, held this year, was a fine show from every standpoint. The wearing of these new uniforms has already proved to be a source of pride to the band members, and they are sure to give us even bigger and better shows in the future. A trip to Muncie this year was another highlight of the band's calendar. Participation in the music assemblies, in several parades, and in the shows at half-time at basketball and football games helped to make this a busy year for them, MR.
