. I 5 Y K J. 4.4 A... The Best in the United. States The South Side Times has shown itself to be a lusty infant. XVhen only six weeks old, scarcely out of the journalistic crawling age, it walked off with the Central Interscholastic Press Association award of Best High School paper in lndianaf! K During the rest of that year it was carefully fed and nourished by the school and Times staff and was able to climb and reach for higher and better things this year. It surpassed all other high school publications in the country this year, being declared the best high school paper in the United States at the Madison Convention. Below are shown two of this year's issues. The one on the right side is one of the three prize issues entered in the Madison contest and is considered a model in regard to make-up. The other cut shows the front page of the sectional tournament issue, one of the big undertakings of the year. It is interesting to know that this paper is financially sound at all times.
