Manley serving as presidenf, wifh a membership of 949. 702 women, 247 men, and 886 families were represenfed by I003 sfudenfs. Mrs. Max Robinson served as member- ship chairman. Twenfy subscripfions fo fhe Nafional and eigh- feen fo fhe Sfafe Periodicals were secured. The Characfer Educafion sfudy was based on Vicfory Through Unify. A differenf phase being emphasized by pasfors of fhe churches in 'Ihe com- munify. Parenf Educafion fopics based on Freedom fo Grow were discussed ai' fhe monfhly meefings of fhe Execufive Board. The Associafion was rafed a Superior Associa- fion because of ifs accomplishmenfs. The Associafion prepared and served fhe food for fhe Senior Kid Day Parfy af Riverside. Judges were appoinfed fo judge fhe confesf. Cosfume and prizes were awarded fo fhe boy and girl winner. The food for fhe Senior picnic, which was held af Rainbow Lake, was also prepared and served by fhe women of fhe Associafion. Mrs.lE. B. Kuehn, Jr., eighfh vice-presidenf, was Chairman of fhe lnfanfile Paralysis Tag Day Ob- servance from fhe Soufh Side P.T.A. She also headed a commiffee fo aid fhe Board of Healfh in examining fhe eyes of ninfh grade sfudenfs. Mrs. E. L. King cheered many of l'he sick wifh cards and flowers. Fafhers' Nighf was observed in November and Founders' Day was observed in February. Pasf- Presidenfs were honored af fhis meefing. Programs of unusual inferesf were presenfed by program chairmen, Miss Josephine Allensworfh, Miss Laura Warne, Mrs. Lula Mallory, and Mr. Wil- liam C. Wilhelmn. A Spanish play was presenfed by Miss Jessie L. Bond, English and Spanish feacher. The budgef for fhe year called for S484.90. More fhan fluis amounf was raised fhrough member- ship and fhe selling of Chrisfmas Cards. A new piano was obfained for fhe gym, and a refinish and repair iob was done on fhe Grand Piano in fhe audiforium. Our proiecl' for fhe year was an appropriafion of SI50 fo fhe school fo purchase equipmenf for the Music Deparfmenf under fhe supervision of Mrs. Lula Mallory.
