QUEEN BELL “Dean, a future secretary, says “Oh. yeah. She enjoys reading and listening to rock ’n’ roll and jazz. Her favorite subjects arc mathematics ami stenography. She spends her spare time viewing ,;Sat-urday Night at the Movies.” Paul Newman and Ruby Dec arc her specials. ISAAC M. BEST JOHN BENNETT Health and gym are favorite subjects with Johnny.” He expects to be a teacher of physical education and health. John plays trumpet in the band—goes for Dixieland jazz and musicians like Al Hirt. Paul Newman and Red Skelton have won his favor. MORRIS BATTLE Yank plays on the football team and sings in Mixed Chorus. He expects to go to college. Some of his preferences are U.S. History, dancing, singing, rock 'n' roll, 'The Dick Van Dyke Snow,” and Jerry Butler. “So let it be written; so let it be done, says he. JOSEPH BARON The United States Navy beckons for Joe after graduation. He has enjoyed his courses in history and the activities in physical education. Ballads and rock V roll are musical favorites. Do You Want to Hear a Secret?” is his tune. Special singer: Johnny Mathis. MARGIE BENNETT To go to business college is next on the agenda for Mike. A member of the Tsvirlers and of Delta Iota Phi, she singles out history and English as courses that pleased her. She’s aided the school as a number of the Library Staff and cheering the football and basketball squads. 16

OTIS ANDERSON KEITH ANDERSON Keith hopes to attend Seton Hall University. History and English have been his favorite subjects. Member of the 1965 Executive Committee, soccer team, and French Club, he lists soccer, baseball, football. and track as top sports. “The Eleventh Hour” and “Charming” are TV favorites. WILLIAM ASHFORD The armed services are “Big Otis’ ” goal at the present. Wc can catch him playing baseball or football in his spare time. Mathematics and record keeping rate top subjects for Otis. When it comes to Clay Cole, “Sea Hunt.” “Mr. Novak, or “Temple Houston,” Otis approves. CHRISTINA ASCIUKIEWICZ “Chris” plans to attend business school. Her favorite pastimes arc making dresses and watching television. Top TV programs for her include The Virginian, The Fugitive,” and Perry Mason. ’ Sewing and typewriting are Chris’ subjects. Robert Mitchum is her actor. WARREN BAKER EDITH BAMBERC Live and let live,” says Edi, who is a delightful addition to the Madrigals, Mixed Chorus, and Optimist Staff. She's been secretary of Y.W.A.’s and devotional chairman of Jr. Young People's Choir, Hopewell Baptist Church. Montclair State will be lucky indeed to get Edi.” 15

BARATA BEY “Hey, man! exclaims Bee Bee,“ who plans to study pharmacy. Hes active on South Side’s basketball and track teams, plays the drums whenever he has the chance. A member of Boys Club. Baratu enjoys electronics and music. He likes Sir. Novak” and seeing Poitier act. MARTHA BLEDSOE “Hey now! says Shorty. After completing high school she plans to attend a nursing school. She is a member of C.O. Patrol and I-as Novelet ts. Her favorite type of music is rock 'n' roll. Shorty” likes football, basketball, Bette Davis, and Sidney Poitier. BRUCE BIVINS Mookie” has belonged to the football, indoor, and outdoor track teams — been captain of the eleven. He’s proud of his singing in his church choir and loves gospel music. Chemistry is his favorite subject. Engineering is the career he’s cut out for himself. EDITH BLOW Edith’s ambition is to go to business school. She loves dancing and goes for both jazz and rock ’n’ roll. Her favorite subjects are gym. English, and typewriting. Athletically she votes for hasketball and swimming. Edith is a fan of Connie Stevens and Richard Chamberlain. SHIRLEY ANN BOLDIN Are you kidding? asks Shirl.” She is a member of the Phi Delta Chi Sorority and senator from homeroom 111. Her favorite subjects: mathematics and bookkeeping. During her spare time she bowls and writes letters, while listening to songs like Cod Bless Our Love. Business school beckons. MARCO BLANDINC Elaine” says “Check it out.” Her ambition is to become a nurse. For sports it’s baseball, for study, English. Her hobbies are listening to records or to the radio. “The Nurses” and “The Fugitive are her favorite television shows. Rudy Dee and Poitier are Margos stars. 17
