He plans to be a physical education teacher, lists gym as his favorite subject. This college - bound young lady, one of our charming cheerleaders, sings in Mixed Chorus and Girls’ Glee Club. She likes sewing, jazz, s Mrts, and John Wayne. KATHALEEN BURKE Commercial subjects have been most interesting for Kathy, with highest rating for Secretarial Practice and Accounting. Her expectation is to be a secretary-bookkeeper. Dancing, skating, and gossiping on the telephone arc hobbies. Kathy likes the music from South Pacific”; lists Connie Francis and Rock Hudson as top personalities. 17

MARY BOHLER Sewing and cooking are homemaking skills Mary delights in. A valued member of Service Club, Modern Miss Club, and Optimist Staff, she likes English and all tapes of music. Singing in her church choir, watching sports ami TV arc recreations. She expects a clerical career. CHARITY BRANTLEY A member of Polynesians and Hose Bud Circle 10, Peaches keeps busy in Metro tolitan Young People’s Choir atul the Girls’ Basketball League. She collects record albums, dotes on modern and progressive jazz. Watching base-Itall and football is fun. Charitu hopes to study in an IBM school. WILLIAM OLIVER BREITENBACH III Never say die’’ opin ?4 Big Time. Algebra and Mechanical Drawing have interested him in a career as mechanical or civil engineer. He’s been tremendously active, as Senator and Captain of the Swimming Team, track and football varsity player, singer in Boys’ Glee Club arid Hilltop Recorder reporter. CLORIEST BRIGGS You’ll often find Glo at the Community Center Canteen. She has enfoyed her mathematics courses and Shorthand at South Side. Business school is her post-graduation goal. He’s played in Senior Batul, showed preference for jazz mujtc like Alley-Oop.” Woodworking is his hobby; his immediate goal is to join the U. S. Navy. JOYCE CARTER J. C.” has been class secretary and business manager, a member of Polynesians and Service Club. A future “government gal,” she’s novular at dances, enjoys kick-ball, softball, and swimming. Among her enthusiasms are rock 'n roll, “The Untouchables,” “Mike Hammer,” and Loretta Young. JOYCE CHARACTER An admirer of Nina Simone, Cannonball Adderley, ami Johnny Mathis, ”J. C.” has liked the subjects in the Commercial Dei art-ment, plans to studu in IBM School. She enjoys skating and traveling, thrillers on TV, and Robert Stack. Says she, You'd better believe it. JOHN CHEEKS For Chic” service in the U. S. Army is next on the agenda. He’s been a member of P.L.B.C. Potential Leader Boys’ Club and a varsity player on the Basketball Team. 0. S. History and English are favorite subjects. His musical tastes run to jazz and rock ’n roll. RONALD CIRLINCIONE Jazz and Dixieland are musical choices of Ron,” who plays in a four-piece band, enjoys being a member of the Swimming Team and Projection Staff. Skin-diving is his favorite sport. B. Bardot is a girl he’d like to be with. Hopes to make Air Force Academy. I JANET COLE Senator and Optimist Staff member, “Jan” sings in her church choir and the Festival Chorus, loves to correspond with her friends.
