ROW 3: Michael Horo Sandy Meir, Paul Diamond, Maurice Cerulli, Robert Plant, providing a musical frame Directed by Mr. George Wilson, South Side's Var- sity Band aided in vitalizing school spirit. During the football season the fans were struck by the band's colorful routines and rhythmic music. Participating in the United Fund Drive Parade, and the Memorial Day, and Loyalty Day parades, the Band earned the respect of the entire community. During the year, the Band was present on many different occasions to entertain us. All-Band Night and the May Music Festival will not readily be forgotten, for the versa- tility of the band highlighted these concerts. The annual outdoor concert at the music shell at Jones' Beach gave many people from all over Long Island an opportunity to hear one of the finest bands in BAND BOARD, l..
