Student participation and sportsmanship are the keystones of South Side's athletic program. South Side is represented in inter-scholastic athletics by eleven varsity teams and nine iunior varsity squads. The girls' program consists ot both intramural and interscholastic activities. A large percentage of South Siders participate in diverse activities which are geared to the development of their physical prowess. The athletic program serves to instill enthusiasm and school spirit in the student body.
