I-Ill I South Side's new Allen Electric Organ. Actively displaying the spirit of cooperation between school and community, the South Side High School Organ Fund Committee conducted a fund-raising campaign in the early months of the year. The goal of the committee was the installation of a Sl0,000 Allen Electric Organ in South Side's auditorium. The purchase of this instrument and the founding of the committee were largely due to the inspira- tion of Mrs. Sally T. Dietrich, musical director of South Side. Mrs. Robert J. Day was chairman of a committee which included many active and prominent members of the community. Contributions of students were supervised by the chairmen of the student branch, Roberta Drubin and Ronald Schlossberg. The organ, when installed, will add much to the school's musical program and will lend dignity and impressiveness to such school functions as assemblies, concerts, and graduation exercises.
