Elizabeth Johnson Throughout her three years in South Side, Betsy Johnson has left her mark as a leader. Her keen interest in all phases of school activity made her a logical choice for the Laurel Award. As a junior she was secretary both of her class and of the Senior Chora- leers and represented her Hi-Y at the Albany Convention. Soon rec- ognized as a person of integrity and scholarship, Betsy was elected to the National Honor Society. ln her senior year Betsy's teammates rewarded her by choosing her Blue Captain. Betsy's fine record of par- ticipation was climaxed by her election as secretary of the Gen- eral Organization. laurel awards Laurel Award winner, Bob Kaminsky, has ably shown that high scholastic ability, leadership, and an avid interest in activities go hand in hand. ln his junior year, Bob was elected president of the French Club and managed the Cy- clone Shop. This year he co-edited the Sportsman, participated in the Senior play, and served as GO. representative. For relaxation, he plays the piano in various dance bands. Scholastically Bob ranks seventh in the class. These accom- plishments have resulted in his selection as a member of the Key Club and the National Honor Society. Robert Kaminsky
