sa 's.',,.,i' Ei : my 'NJ -1' W rscxxfl IN MEMORIAM CATHERINE, BOND The passing of Miss Catherine M. Bond on july 18, 1960, greatly grieved South Shore students and faculty. Truly a dedicated educator, Miss Bond won the respect and love of those who had the pleasure of knowing and working with herl A woman-of great personal charm and integrity, she possessed a sincere interest in the development of every student in the language department. As competent teacher and sponsor of the Cercle Franpaisf' she inspired her students, many of whom have continued their linguistic studies in college. .Faculty members and the student body felt that a tangible memorial should be es- tablished so that future students, as well as those at South Shore now, would be aware of Miss Bond's fine work. Perpetuation of her outstanding endeavors has been accom- plished by adding a new section of foreign books to our library. Although a great lady has passed from our midst, her influence still remains with us. 2I
