As members ofthe communities they serve, they're involved with community needs - a rural power demand that doubles about every seven years, a social and economic demand for jobs, housing, schools. As Americans, they're alert to the problems the country faces - resource development, regional planning, pollution. And as rural Americans, they're deeply conscious of rural America's role. in our nation's progress. K - ' All across the land, rural electric system people - working together and with others - are searching out solutions to problems created by changing social and technological pressures.
