The campaign assembly for the new Stu dent Council officers. The newly elected officers for the forthcomingyear: Roy LeGrand- Vice President, Jack Lightfoot-President, Nancy Magruder-Sec- retary, Ann Bollow-Treasurer.

Soon after South Shelby High opened its doors for the 1965-66 school year, the Student Council was planning its course of operations for the coming year, Homecoming brought the Satalites to the school for the dance. Their music provided the climax to a day when our band and colorful floats lined the streets, the Cardinals achieved a Victory, and a new queen reigned. The Valentine dance With the Christie's Critters band, hearts, crepe paper streamers, and dim lights was probably one of the most memorable events of the year. Student Council do- nated money toward the purchase of new uniforms for our cheerleaders. Student Council elections marked the end of the year for 1965-66.
