gleton Lt. Missouri 5 is 'nw Dedicatory tatement y Superintendent of Schools The dedication of the South Shelby High School formally inaugurates the project we in this district have given ourselves--a pro- ject to provide the best educational pro- gram that we can. Certainly, a great portion of this project has been accomplished by the completion of the high school building. We have the satisfaction of seeing what has al- ready been accomplished by the co-operation, support, and patience of those who support education. All who have contributed in any way can feel pride in what has been accom- plished so far. ln addition to dedicating this building we are also dedicating a plan of education. Although our attention today is directed mainly to the high school building, we are, also, dedicating a plan which includes all public school activities in our district. This plan was set in motion when the voters created the Shelby County R-IV District. The high school building is completedg however, the implementing of the plan will be brought about by the continuation of our efforts to improve the quality, diversity, and effectiveness of the preparation of our young people to meet their needs educationally and socially.
