FOREIGN EXCHANGE STUDENTS I would like to express sincere appreciation to my school for giving me the opportunity to represent South San Francisco and the American students in Europe last summer. The feeling of doing some part to further international understanding will be a memorable experience that will last the rest of my life. Delle Furrow Commissioner of Student Affairs David Edwards Clyde Haddock Commissioner of Boys Athletics Ned Brasher Commissioner of Programs Mary Carey Commissioner of Music Commissioner of Girls' Athletics Mr. Warren Heckman has served as advisory faculty member in the Student Council's organization of campus activity for several years. He is also a music teacher and band leader. In his capacity as advisor, Mr. Heckman assisted the council at all their meetings and supervised many activities. His time and advice was greatly appreci- ated by the Student Body. This year, due to the split sessions, the Student Coun- cil had to meet before school. One of the main prob- lems they attempted to solve was that of creating inter- est in student government. Finally it was decided to start new with a completely different type of government. lt was set up on a British system and started into action with the election of new officers for the fall semester. They are looking forward to organizing the P L Confer- ence which will be held here next year.
